  1. JOB FUNCTION
  2. To value property for clients (usually other Government Departments or Ministries/Portfolios) including the carrying out of negotiations pertaining to acquisitions and compensation claims.
  3. To make assessments for Stamp Duty purposes and to maintain appropriate valuation listing in accordance with the provisions of established Acts.
  4. To assist with the processing of Aliens Land Holding Licence

 

  1. KEY DUTIES

 

  1. To value property for clients (usually other Government Departments or Ministries/Portfolios) including the carrying out of negotiations pertaining to acquisitions and compensation claims.
  2. To make assessments for Stamp Duty purposes.
  3. Process Licences and Leasehold applications for lease of Crown Lands.
  4. Process and review Aliens Land Holding Licence Applications.
  5. Process Probates for grants of Letters of Administration.
  6. Coordinate with Inland Revenue Department on the maintenance of the Property Tax database.
  7. Respond to queries in relation to Property Values, Property Tax and Aliens Land Holding Licences.
  8. Liaise with other sections of the Department, other Government Departments and Ministries.                     

JOB TITLE: Valuation Officer

 

  1. Maintain database for property values, leases for Crown and Private, licences, Condominiums and Alien Land Holding Licences.
  2. Prepare reports as directed
  3. Complies reports on findings and makes recommendations, where necessary.
  4. Visit sites for Stamp Duty, Property Tax and inspection of properties under Aliens Land Holding Licences and in some occasions in collaboration with Inland Revenue for compliance.
